Deer involved accident On Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at 06:35, Spencer County Deputy Kevin Farmer responded to a crash on South US 231 at the intersection of County Road 1000 North . At the time of the crash, the weather was cloudy and the road surface was dry.
Chad Miller of Owensboro stated he was traveling south on US 231 just north of County Road 1000 N when a deer entered the roadway from the west and collided with his 2013 Blue GMC Terrain.
On Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at 2:53 p.m., Spencer County Deputy Damian Williams, responded to a crash on East County Rd 1250 North at intersection of North County Road 150 East. At the time of the crash, the weather was clear and the road surface was dry. The Deputy arrived at approximately 3:17 p.m. and met with driver Judith Carrie of Chrisney.
Carrie informed the deputy she was traveling east bound on 1250 North when she started to run off the road, overcorrected and side swiped a guardrail on the north side of the road causing damage to her front driver’s side fender and knocking the guardrail over. The vehicle, a 2008 Yellow Chevrolet Cobalt, was drivable and Deputy Williams advised Spencer County Dispatch to notify County Highway about the damage to the guardrail.
Backing crash at car dealershipOn Nov. 20, 2022 at approximately 3:28 p.m., Spencer County Deputy Lucas Hemmerlein, responded to a backing crash. Spencer County Dispatch informed the deputy the crash had occurred at Sternberg Automotive, located at 600 S Washington Street, Dale. Deputy Hemmerlein arrived on scene at approximately 3:45 p.m. He spoke with the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, Carrie Lindauer of Huntingburg. Lindauer stated she was driving her Chevrolet Silverado through the car lot browsing through the vehicles. Carrie told the deputy once she got to the end of the row, she had to turn around, due to it being a dead end.
Lindauer stated that whenever she was backing up to turn around, she hit an unoccupied 2020 Ford Escape owned by Sternberg Automotive.
Lindauer’s Chevrolet had no visible damage. The Ford sustained damage to the rear bumper and rear hatch door.
Emergency Medical Services were not needed.
