TELL CITY — Howard Keith Traphagen, 62, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Valley Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.

Born in Tell City, Ind., Sept. 12, 1960, he was the son of the late Howard Lee and Mary Alice (Lauer) Traphagen.

Keith was a 1978 graduate of Tell City High School and had attended the University of Evansville. He had owned and operated several liquor stores in Southern Indiana. He later moved to Renton, Wash., and owned The Wine Alley. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, Gabe and Nora.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Traphagen; son, Brandon Traphagen (Courtney) of Snoqualmie, Wash.; two grandchildren, Gabriel Howard and Nora Arlene; sister, Cheryl Schauberger of Evansville; his brother, Craig (Sandy) Traphagen of Evanston; and several nieces and nephews.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brad Traphagen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday May 25, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday May 26, 2023, from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
