LEOPOLD — Perry Central Tuesday hosted a track meet against North Harrison and Orleans. Furthermore, the Commodores’ boys and girls teams won in each meet by team scores. Perry Central’s girls team won with a score of 85 compared to 35 from both North Harrison and Orleans. The boys team finished with a score of 62 compared to North Harrison’s 59 and Orleans 46.

Girls eventsGirls 100 meter dash ended with Grace Tincher of North Harrison winning by a time of 13.75. Perry Central’s Alyssa Goffinet and Jade Schwartz rounded out the top three with times of 14.12 and 15.07.

Goffinet and Schwartz then finished first and second in the 200 meter dash. Callie Alston of Orleans finished third with a time of 31.12. Goffinet and Schwartz timed at 28.77 and 29.98.

Goffinet also won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.54. Aleah Kellems of Perry Central and Callie Alston of Orleans took second and third with times of 1:11.34 and 1:13.66.

Allison Hughett of Orleans won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:35.79. North Harrison’s Lydia Watkins and Kaydyn Jarboe finished second and third with times of 2:38.94 and 2:51.11.

1600 meter run for the girls ended with Savannah Schaad and Summer Guillaume of Perry Central along with Jayden Blanton of Orleans in the top three. Schaad and Guillaume timed at 6:17.12 and 6:34.56. Blanton’s run ended at 7:01.45.

Schaad and Guillaume along with North Harrison’s Brook Schultz finished top three in the 3200 meter run. The three ran times of 13:53.41, 14:23.58, and 14:47.75.

Perry Central was the only school to have participants in the 100 meter hurdles. Jada Etienne timed at 18:95.

Etienne in the 300 meter hurdles against Orleans and North Harrison won with a time of 53:33. Orleans’ Teresa Prince and Schultz of North Harrison timed at 1:00.68 and 1:01.46.

Perry Central’s 4x100 team ran 57:07 and entered the 4x100 relay as the only team participating. 4x400 relay also went to Perry Central with a time of 4:42.57. Orleans and North Harrison finished second and third. Lastly, in the 4x800 relay, Perry Central beat Orleans by a time of 11:39.82 to 11:49.50.

Alston of Orleans won the high jump with Tincher of North Harrison and Etienne of Perry Central second and third. Alston’s jump mark was 5’2’, Tincher 5’0”, and 4’10” from Etienne.

Pole vault for the girls side finished with Perry Central’s Kyndal Holtzman first, Amara Black of North Harrison tied for first. Holtzman and Black’s mark was 6’6”.

North Harrison’s Tichner won first place in the long jump with Perry Central’s Kallie Gayer and Elizabeth Mahan of Orleans third. Tichner’s mark of 17’8.5” outlasted Gayer’s 14’8.25’, and Mahan’s 13’3.25”.

Josie Bough of Perry Central won the shot put by a mark of 28’7.5” which outlasted Orleans’ Emily Qualkenbush’s of 24’6, and 24’3.5” from Maggie Taylor of Perry Central.

Lastly, Ella Nethery won the discus event over Josie Bough of Perry Central and Nethery’s teammate Josie Inboden took third.

Boys events100 meter dash on the boys side finished with Adam Goffinet winning first place over North Harrison’s Spencer Smith and Keegan Scholl of Orleans. Goffinet with 11.54 outlasted Smith s 11.62 and 12.61 from Scholl.

Goffinet also won the 200 meter dash over Spencer Smith and Tucker Smith of North Harrison. Goffinet’s time finished at 23.56 to 23.78 and 24.56 from Spencer Smith and Tucker Smith.

Lucas Mitchell kept the winning going for the Commodores as he finished first in the 400 meter dash. He beat out North Harrison’s Tucker Smith and Patrick Alston of Orleans who finished second and third. Mitchell timed at 52.60, Smith at 53.66, and Alston with 54.92.

Bryce Jones for Orleans won the 800 meter dash over Perry Central’s Gavin Lock and Thomas Hogan. Lock and Hogan timed at 2:13.58 and 2:20.52 compared to 2:11.74 from Jones.

Jones won the 1600 meter run as well by beating out Gavin Lock and Oxiel Castro of North Harrison. Jones finished with a time of 4:42.48, Lock at 4:51.43, and Castro with 5:00.86.

Castro in the 3200 won the race by beating out Seth Guillaume and Wyatt Sitzman of Perry Central. Castro’s time was 11:16.20, and Guillaume along with Sitzman ran across the finish line with a time of 11:24.06 and 11:36.82.

100 meter Hurdles finished with Cole Yeager of Perry Central first with 17.77 compared to Gauge Ransdell of North Harrison and Gib Penn of Orleans at 18.74 and 18.81. Yeager also won the 300 meter hurdle race by beating Ransdell and Joey Sanders of Orleans.

Relays began with the 4x100 meter relay. with North Harrison and Orleans second. Perry Central then won the 4x400 relay by defeating Orleans and North Harrison. Lastly, Perry Central won the 4x800 relay over Orleans.

High jump Tuesday finished with Patrick Alston first from Orleans, Joshua Waynescott of North Harrison, and Orleans’ Gib Penn third. Their marks were 6’0”, 5’10”, and 5’6” respectively. North Harrison in the pole vault finished the event by taking all of the top three spots. Grayson Clunie, Carson Caffee, and Cory Kliner jumped 11’0”, 8’6”, and 7’6” respectively.

Long jump ended with Waynescott, Orleans’ Alston, and David Langdon of North Harrison in the top three. From there, shot put finished with Nathaniel Graves of Orleans, Isiah Stuffle of North Harrison, and Ryan Williams of Orleans in the top three.

Lastly, Perry Central’s Seven Whistle, Gordon Sprinkle, and North Harrison’s Stuffle finished in the top three of discus.
