ORLEANS — It’s Farmers Market time! Please join us each Saturday morning on Beautiful Congress Square in Orleans from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is our 21st market season and we are pleased to spend it with all you wonderful folks.

This week you can expect to see, from our farms and gardens, pure or comb honey, turnips, strawberries, radishes, onions, greens, lettuce, kale, flowers, plants and plant starts, fresh eggs, Hackney grain or grass fed beef, chicken, rabbit, pork, Rosebud Longhorn beef, maple syrup with more added each week.

From our home kitchens, peanut brittle, fudge, nuts, cookies, cakes, pies, jams, jellies, dog treats, local wines, syrups (peach, blackberry, elderberry), cinnamon rolls, muffins, yeast bread, tarts, lemonade.

From our talented craft folks, heirloom quality wooden bowls, wooden toys, wooden furniture, bird houses, knit and crochet items, jewelry, leather goods, purses, doll clothes, dish towels, scrubs, t-shirts, goats milk soaps, lip balm, deodorant, quilts, bibs, baby blankets, pot holders, essential oils, greeting cards, painted items, longhorn skulls, walking sticks to name a few.

Other items: freshly smoked pulled pork by the sandwich or by the pound, children’s books by local authors and illustrators

Our Buck a Book trailer is filled with “new to us books”. Every child is invited to select and keep a book free of charge each market day.
