JASPER — An early Saturday morning disturbance led local officers to a confrontation with a Jasper man in the 1600 block of Newton Street.

According to information obtained from the Jasper Police Department, officers were called to 1622 Newton Street just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. Upon arrival of JPD officers, Jonathan Holt, 45, Jasper, resisted officers’ commands and a struggle ensued.
