DUBOIS COUNTY — With unemployment rates at 2.6 across the state of Indiana in the month of April, Dubois County ranked tied for the second-lowest rate (2%), tied with Adams, Hamilton, Johnson, Steuben and Wells counties. Neighboring counties of Boone, Daviess and Gibson boasted the state’s lowest jobless rate of 1.9%.
The local 2% mark is up from April 2022’s rate of 1.7% of the 21,777 workforce without work, but down from March’s 2.7%.
