JASPER — Every county in Indiana saw an improvement in COVID-19 community spread metrics this week, with 22 counties moving to “blue” for mild spread and 65 counties, including Dubois, moving down to “orange” for mild moderate spread.
Four counties (Gibson, Warrick, Floyd and Clark) that were still at most severe community spread metrics last week improved to “orange” for moderate to severe spread. Warren County also remained at the “orange” community spread metric classification.
Indiana State Department of Health Wednesday reported four new cases in Dubois County, bringing the total to 12,808 cases including 160 deaths among 120,330 tests reported.
The county’s rolling seven-day positivity rate is 8.7%.
In the area Pike County reports one new case for a total 3,712 total cases including 46 deaths among 37,246 tests; Daviess County one new case for 7,445 total cases including 146 deaths among 79,760 tests; Martin County one new case for 2,154 total cases including 24 deaths among 24,652 tests; Orange County no new cases, one additional death for a total 5,011 total cases including 89 deaths among 52,295 tests; Crawford County three new cases and one additional death for 2,524 total cases including 35 deaths among 28,747 tests; Perry County no new cases for 4,621 total cases including 62 deaths among 42,446 tests; Spencer County six new cases for 5,203 total cases including 57 deaths among 44,727 tests; Warrick County four new cases for 20,165 total cases including 226 deaths among 157,474 tests; Vanderburgh County 13 new cases for 56,999 total cases including 586 deaths among 550,578 tests.
