Elshoff wins Holland spelling bee

Holland Elementary fourth grader Alivia Elshoff is the winner of the school’s Nov. 19 spelling bee. She is the daughter of Aaron and Amanda Elshoff. Her homeroom teacher is Brett Roesner.

Runner- up is fourth grader Henry Heile, son of Jason and Cassandra Heile. His homeroom teacher is Lindsey Sickbert.

Other participants were

Jack Keusch, Samuel Mehringer, Arian Meyer and Lisa Lindauer.

Elshoff will participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee online test and may advance to the Evansville Area Regional Spelling Bee. Pronouncer for the Holland bee was Kelly Murphy. Judges were Rachel Breitwieser and Katie Buening.
