Dori is the daughter of Ryan and Rachelle Sherer of Huntingburg. She has three siblings: Evalyn, Wyatt, and Ruth. At Southridge High School Dori has been involved in many activities. She is active in FFA, Key Club, Band, and the Musical. Miss Sherer has also enjoyed being involved in Latino Advocacy and Academic and Spell Bowls. In the past she participated in Swim, Track and Field, and the VUJC STEM competition.

Dori has received Academic Honors every year at Southridge. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently a Valedictorian candidate. In addition Dori has received the Rising Star Award and this school year was nominated for the Presidential Scholar Award.

Outside of school Dori works as a Veterinary Assistant at St. Francis Animal Healthcare in Dale. She is also very involved at home with goats, chickens, garden and compost.

Her after graduation plans include attending University of Alaska-Fairbanks to study Wildlife Biology and Conservation with a pre-veterinary track. During her time at university she hopes to be very involved with environmental studies and research.
